De Gruyter Partner Program

De Gruyter Partner Program

What is the Partner Program?

The Partner Program is dedicated to defining new approaches to the distribution and accessibility of high-value Partner Press content to institutional libraries globally. The Partner Program has grown a large customer base and is attracting the interest of an increasing number of publishers.  While we remain committed to the core structure of our models, the mission of the new organization is to expand our resources and increase the necessary focus to continue to meet (and exceed) the expectations of both publisher and library partners. Thousands of academic libraries are driving hundreds of thousands uses of our Partner online content, a metric not fully captured in old reporting standards and often not shared in meaningful ways with Partners.  The imperative has emerged to manage electronic data to provide actionable information and support for productive decision-making at publishers and in libraries. This requires developing and managing a complex web of solutions in content structure, accessibility, discoverability and costs. By developing an organization devoted to aggregated content solutions, we hope to position ourselves to serve the needs of our many Partners for the next decade and beyond.

What are the benefits of the Partner Program?

Increased reach

  • All eBooks and journals are integrated into degruyter.com and are accessible wherever there is Internet
  • All books and journals are fully integrated into business models and sold globally, i.e. in eBook packages, pick and choose offers and EBA (for selected partners)
  • Selected content available exclusively through De Gruyter

Improved visibility

  • All eBooks and journals are supplied with DOIs
  • All eBooks are supplied with MARC Records

Reduced barriers to access

  • No recurring access fees for purchased eBooks and journals, as established in De Gruyter’s content ownership model

Trusted service provider

  • Customer support and expertise provided by our dedicated in-house team
  • Retro-digitization services – making previously out-of-print content available
