Open Access Publishing

Journal Publishing

We provide high-quality open access journal publishing for academic societies, with fair and transparent pricing. Our modern, feature-rich journals feature clean web design and are fully optimized for mobile viewing. All journals have full usage metrics, DOIs, commenting and annotation, accessible display options, social media integration, and special collections and are widely indexed and archived.

Our flexible model provides journals with everything from simple hosting to a full stack of publishing services, with full support for both gold and diamond open access models.

Book Publishing

Ubiquity provides open access book publishing for academic authors through our imprint, Ubiquity Press. Our books are all peer-reviewed and published fully open access, with Creative Commons licenses and citable DOIs. All books are free to read online and to download in a variety of formats and are widely indexed for maximum dissemination. Full usage metrics track everything from views to citations and annotations. Once final proofs are approved, books go online immediately and are available in print within one week.

Partner Presses

We provide a full suite of infrastructure and services to enable institutions and libraries to operate open access university presses. Working with us is a low-risk, affordable, and sustainable path to running a press with a high level of quality and visibility that enhances the reputation of your institution.

Each Partner Press is provided with a fully rebranded, easily customized web portal, displaying information about all journals and books in one place. Visitors see the latest social media commentary on published items, and the most popular content is highlighted. We also provide full assistance in running the press, from setup through to acquisitions and marketing.

University Press Library Open (UPLOpen)

Powered by the Ubiquity Partner Press platform, UPLOpen is a community-driven publishing initiative, hosting a substantial collection of open access books from a large number of academic and university presses. With funding coordinated by the non-profit eBound foundation and a focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, UPLOpen both aggregates existing open access content and catalyzes new publishing with the presses in the Paradigm Partner Program.
